Food for thought. A little something to think about today for everyone reading this.
- How many people would you impress
- If they don't know where you came from
- If they don't know your nationality
- If they don't know what gender you are
- If they don't know how old you are
- If they don't know anything at all about you
What if the expectations and the stigma surrounding social constructs and biological constructs no longer exist?
How many people would you impress just by the things you say and the things you do? And making sure that the things you say match up with the things you do?
The question is not whether it is possible or not--
The question is how many people would be impressed by you.
Impressed by who you are and not by what the world thinks you are.
.
.
.
Because some days I just wanted to know how many people I would impress without the privileges that I have.
How many people would I impress with just the things I say and the things I do.
Even if I don't impress anyone at all, I still wanted to know
Even if it hurts, I still wanted to know.
Because I wanted to become a better person and you can't become a better person living within the bubble of your own privileges.
Thinking you impressed so many people when in fact, they are only impressed by how the world sees you, rather than how you see yourself.
